English Estates: Barling's Make Sandblasted Bulldog (642) (ExEL) (Pre-Transition)
Product Number: 004-002-16816
A markedly fine old school English specimen, this Barling's saddle-stemmed Bulldog shape is a handsome example of crisp, lean classic shaping, imbued with a good helping of cragginess by way of a deeply textured sandblast. Indeed, there's a rippling spread of rings traveling across the upright bowl, interrupted only by the crisp etching of a double beadline. There's some rim darkening, scraping in the chamber, mild chamber carbonizing, unevenness to the chamber from reaming, some light tooth marks, and the stem logo has been buffed off, but otherwise condition is fair nonetheless.- Daniel Bumgardner
