English Estates: Ben Wade Sandblasted Bent Pot (36)

Product Number: 004-002-17378

A Ben Wade in more traditional form than the Danish Freehands that it helped popularize in the 1960s, this bent Pot with saddle stem emphasizes its texture, which is a medium-deep and visually tantalizing sandblast. The diamond shank contrasts geometry with the rounded bowl, and that arrangement helps accentuate both elements, the shank further helped with a continuation of geometry in the stem. Warmly chestnut in tone and part of a long tradition of Danish pipemaking, this pipe appears to be a workhorse, but is certainly stately enough for any occasion.
