English Estates: Comoy's Highgate Partially Rusticated Acorn (594) (F) (post-1980)

Product Number: 004-002-17425

An Acorn with engaging texture, this Comoy's Highgate suffers from some mild carbonizing and uneven reaming in the bowl, and some dings and scratches, along with some darkening of the rim. But since it was made by a company founded in 1825, with almost 200 years of experience in making solid, dependable pipes, it should have many years still to give. Its partial rustication takes the form of four striated panels around the bowl, reaching a point at the heel, and extending onto the shank, which is about half smooth. With an almost Egg-shaped bowl and a soft bend, this Comoy's offers a comfortable earthy stain and a black mouthpiece with intact logo.
