English Estates: Dunhill Black Briar Limited Edition Ice Age Mammoth (4202) (82 of 300) (with Tamper and Case) (2005) (Unsmoked)
Product Number: 004-002-18033
Made from mammoth tusk discovered in the Siberian tundra, parts of this pipe and tamper set from Dunhill began their journey 61,000 years ago, according to radiocarbon dating. Woolly mammoths have been extinct for roughly 11,000 years after all; prior to that, they were noted for their thick locks of dark hair and long, curving tusks.
With this Black Briar Limited Edition Ice Age Mammoth series release from Dunhill, we have a robust, saddle-stemmed "4202" bent Billiard shape, imbued with a broad mount of creamy mammoth, complemented by the same material at the tip of the tamper. Both the pipe and tamper are otherwise very, very black, with the tamper's vulcanite body and the dark-stained Black Briar finish exuding a classy, dress pipe aesthetic. It's nestled within a lavish wooden presentation case and is offered here in unsmoked condition with this particular example being numbered 82 out of the 300 that were produced.- Jeffery Sitts
