English Estates: Dunhill Shell U.S. Patents (196/5) (1937)

Product Number: 004-002-17549

One of Dunhill's older offerings, this 1937 piece has stood the test of time quite nicely. With a craggy, old-school sandblast, its shank and stem combination taper elegantly from the bowl to the lip button. Though the stem logo has worn down, it's still white and easily recognizable. It has some condition issues, as should be expected of a pipe that has seen more than 80 years of service: The chamber shows some carbonizing and signs of over reaming, there's some charring around the airway, and some rim darkening.
