English Estates: Barling's Guinea Grain Apple (G386) (T.V.F.) (SS) (Regd) (Pre-Transition)
Product Number: 004-002-18022
Pre-Transition Barlings are something of a collector's dream. The exclusive use of well-aged Algerian briar, meticulous quality control processes, and their classic approach to shaping all help land these briars in their esteemed positions. This offering is a neat, handsome, and classic take on the Apple with an elegant silhouette that resembles that of the timeless Prince shape, but is here paired to an arrow straight shank and saddle stem. What makes this particular example stand out from the previous ones is its size, as "SS" designated pipes were the smallest that Barling made and we've never one before until this piece came through our doors. It's a remarkably petite and lightweight briar that's more than deserving of being a centerpiece in any collection.- Jeffery Sitts
