English Estates: Dunhill Root Briar (475) (F/T) (4) (R) (1969)
Product Number: 004-002-17858
A steady sitter with an iconic, elegant style, this is a charming and refined take on the Poker shape from Dunhill. The forward cant of the bowl, paired with the high-set orientation of the transition and the subtle downturn to the mouthpiece, just lend it a nice, active dynamism in profile. While it's designated as a Group 4, this piece is incredibly light and can hang from the jaw just as easily as it can sit firmly on a desk top. This late '60s example is presented in the warm finish of the marque's esteemed Root Briar series, accentuating some lovely grain patterns all around the cylindrical bow.- Andrew Wike
