English Estates: BBB Leeds Smooth Billiard (651S)
Product Number: 004-002-17909
Originally, BBB stood for "Blumfeld's Best Briar's," named for Louis Blumfeld who managed the Adolph Frankau Company in 1856. Upon Blumfeld's death however, the BBB brand came to be known as "Britain's Best Briars. Here, the British brand presents a classic saddle-stemmed Billiard in cross-cut grain orientation. Stamped "Leeds" it hearkens back to when pipes were given the names of English cities before shape number were utilized — though this one does also bear the "651S" shape designation.-Truett Smith
