English Estates: Dunhill Shell Briar Quaint Churchwarden Billiard (4) (1997) (Unsmoked)

Product Number: 004-002-17869

Dunhill's Quaint series features shapes that fall outside the marque's standard shape chart, allowing for some unique and memorable combinations. With its forward-canted bowl and long, slender profile, this Group 4 Churchwarden is a lovely tribute to the clay tavern pipes of yesteryear. Here it's rendered from briar, though, and finished in the extra dark tones of the Shell Briar sandblast, pairing perfectly with the lengthy jet-black stem for a classy, formal aesthetic. There's a good bit of chamber tucked away inside and the sandblast has brought out a remarkable display of blasted birdseye and vertically oriented waves of rippling grain. This 1997 example is offered in unsmoked condition and is perfect for any occasion.
