English Estates: Barling's Make Special Rhodesian (537) (Ye Olde Wood) (T.V.F) (EL) (Pre-Transition) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-19237
Dated as a Pre-Transition piece, this Barling was fashioned sometime prior to the early 1960s, during the era in which the Barling family oversaw the production of their namesake pipes. This particular Rhodesian offering is an unusual shape for the classic marque since they're primarily known for their Billiards, Canadians, Lumbermans, and Pots, making this an even more desirable piece. It forgoes the Rhodesian's signature beadlines, instead opting for a subtle ridgeline placed low along the bowl, accentuating the bowl's height as well as the rim's taper. The lengthy, elegantly downturned stem gives the design its graceful profile and provides plenty of room between you and the burning leaf inside.
