English Estates: Dunhill Shell Patent (137) (1950)
Product Number: 004-002-19365
We've seen examples of Dunhill's "137" dating all the way back to the 1920's, making it one of the English marque's oldest designs — the trim, heavily canted form no longer offered on the White Spot's shape chart. This piece from 1950 bears a patent number and wears the Shell's craggy sandblast. There is a tiny crack at the button, but for such a rare, vintage Dunhill pipe, it's worth consideration for those drawn to classic English pieces.-Truett Smith
