English Estates: Dunhill Amber Root (4214) (2002)
Product Number: 004-002-18746
In Group 4 proportions, Dunhill's "14" bent Dublin shape really comes into its own. Sure, the almost sinuous, gestural lines make for a character-laden profile in smaller size designations, but there's just something about the Group 4 scale that lends itself to this shape. The taper to the fore and aft seems a touch more pronounced. The added length accentuates the reaching posture of the shank and downturned saddle stem — all while keeping things nicely balanced overall. This 2002 example is finished in the warm chestnut stain of the Amber Root series.
