English Estates: Loewe & Co. 'Bexley' Smooth Billiard (pre-1968)
Product Number: 004-002-19515
Early English pipe makers often named shapes after English towns and cities in lieu of using shape numbers. Such is the case with this vintage Billiard from Loewe and Co. Bexley is a borough of London, and the shape here represents a short Billiard that borders on Pot dimensions. Tight tendrils of vertical grain wrap around the bowl's flanks, making this a shining example of the iconic marque's work and a standout for collectors.
