English Estates: Dunhill Shell (61032) (1978) Tobacco Pipe

Before Dunhill's current four-digit number system that designates shapes, the English marque previously utilized five digits between the mid-1970s and early '80s. The first four numbers remained true to the current shape chart; however, the fifth denoted a certain, unnamed variation of the shape. This 1978 "61032" represents Dunhill's classic "03" Billiard rendered in large Group 6 proportions, denoted by the "6" at the beginning of the shape code. The subsequent "1" refers to the tapered stem, while the "03" digits indicating it's a Billiard shape. It's dressed here in a light depth application of the Shell Briar sandblast with the vulcanite stem tapering gradually toward the lip button.
