A stocky, muscular rendition of the Dublin shape, this piece from Northern Briars features a tall, flaring bowl that's framed by four crisp facets. The panels give the bowl a firm, structural appearance and provide a considerable bit of girth for wrapping to embrace. The shank ebbs from the low-set transition and marries a demurely curved saddle stem of brindled vulcanite, out back, while the bowl houses a respectable chamber capacity within its thick insulating walls. A warm auburn smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights fine strands of flame grain on either flank of the bowl.
