English Estates: Charatan's Make Special Acorn (City of London) (3) (1965-1979)
Product Number: 004-002-20435
While the Acorn can be considered a classic shape, it wasn't a particularly common design for mid-century English makers. That said, Charatan was one of the few brands to readily produce renditions. One such piece is found here marked by a dramatically pointed heel and a paneled shank. Fashioned sometime between 1965 and 1979, it's dressed in a warm, chestnut stain and features Charatan's iconic, double comfort style mouthpiece.-Truett Smith
