English Estates: Comoy's Super Grain Partially Rusticated Bent Dublin (3) (post-1980) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-31731

We've only ever seen two examples from Comoy's Super Grain series in the past, and neither of them have looked anything like this strikingly neoclassical bent Dublin. Cauldron-like in build, the bowl here features plump lower walls that pinch at the middle before taking on a subtle flare to the plateau-crowned rim, its texture stylistically matching that of the rusticated underside. A wide transition leads to a consistently tapering, upturned shank and a sleek, demurely curved saddle stem, its black hues contrasting the grain-defining auburn stain that dresses the rest of the stummel.
