English Estates: Barling's Guinea Grain Smooth Lumberman 'M. Landaw Picadilly S.W.' (Regd) (Pre-Transition) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-29950
M. Landaw was an old London tobacconist, one of the last to sell their own hand-rolled cigarettes, with its location near Picadilly circus. This refined Lumberman from Barling is a venerated Pre-Transition piece, crafted no later than 1960 during the marque's golden years when the Barling family still managed production. Shape-wise, this is a large rendition, the bowl tall, stout, and capacious of chamber. It's poised at the end of a lengthy stretch of oval shank, with the abbreviated vulcanite saddle stem of the classic English form topping things off. The Guinea Grain appellation makes this collectable pipe even more appealing, with the warm auburn stain showing off an array of mixed grain.
