English Estates: Wally Frank Red Root Smooth Bulldog (29)

Product Number: 004-002-29981

Wally Frank was a respected name in the pipe and tobacco world, operating a number of shops in New York City as well as crafting pipes under their own name. This "29" Bulldog is one such example, striking a classic English profile with a subtly forward-canted bowl and the traditional beadlines demarcating the tapered rim from the rest of the stummel. It's a lean, muscular rendition of the shape, with the diamond shank extending from the low-slung transition before giving way to the saddle stem of cumberland-hues. The stummel wears an earth-toned, red-tinged stain that accentuates the natural grain orientation of the briar and pairs quite well with the stem color. Bold and firm, this piece is ideal for those who enjoy traditional renditions of time-honored shapes.
