English Estates: GBD New Standard Billiard (124) (pre-1980) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-31402
It's hard to find fault with this sort of pipe. A classic shape straight off the English shape chart, dressed in a warm, mahogany stain, it presents a rather traditional air all around. That shouldn't be surprising from GBD, however, a venerable English marque in their own right. There's a nice cross grain orientation to the stummel here, showcasing some pinpricks of birdseye on either flank of the bowl, and the black tapered stem matches well with the hues of the briar for a classic aesthetic.
