The Zulu is a lively, dynamic shape that consists of a flaring, forward-canted bowl, a stretched transition, and fluidly bent shank-and-stem arrangement. This "24" rendition from Rattray's boasts all of those characteristic features, making for a sweeping design that descends from the rim of the bowl to the bit of the tapered mouthpiece. The shape is lightweight and comfortable in hand, with plenty of space to drape a thumb or finger over the low-set transition. The stummel wears the warm Reserve Smooth finish, which accentuates the natural grain orientation of the briar and harmonizes well with the dark coloration of the vulcanite mouthpiece.
