English Estates: Ashton Ebony Poker with Silver (XXX) (2017) Tobacco Pipe

While other dark-finished Ashton pipes range from very dark auburn to black with a noticeable red undertone, the Ebony is something more solidly dark: jet black, basically, with only the slightest hint of an undertone showing up here or there. We see that style applied here to a neat Poker shape, featuring a strong forward cant to the bowl, a high-set transition, and a touch of downward turn to the mouthpiece. Making for an excellent dress pipe, it matches that dark-stained stummel with a bright wedding band of sterling silver and a traditional mouthpiece of jet-black vulcanite.
