English Estates: James Upshall Smooth Bent Billiard (P) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-31812
Precise shaping can be seen in each hand-made pipe from James Upshall, with this bent Billiard embodying that standard. While many of Upshall's pieces are generously sized, this piece, while not small, is more moderately fashioned. Featuring a plump-based bowl with an admirable chamber breadth and depth, it's topped by a gracefully curling shank and gently downturned stem, promoting a comfortable smoking posture and contributing to a sinuous S-curve in profile. This piece is wearing a warm, traditional stain, showing off the briar's handsome grain patterns and is yet another carefully crafted pipe from the English marque, whose works are considered to be among some of the best British pipes.
