A bold, muscular Bulldog, this piece from Comoy's features a tall, upright bowl that rises at the fore a slender diamond shank and a saddle stem of jet-black vulcanite. A pair of beadlines wraps around the high-waist of the bowl and demarcates the tapered rim from the rest of the stummel. The shank's firm, structural lines reinforce the form's muscular build and provide some sharp angularity to the overall composition. A warm, traditional smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights the natural grain orientation of the briar rather brilliantly.
