Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This bent Billiard made by Jimmy Craig of Ashton features a tall, upright bowl that houses a capacious chamber considering the compact size of this pipe. An expansive transition leads to a well-bent shank-and-stem arrangement whose vulcanite saddle stem provides a comfortable clench. Additionally, the pipe is dressed in Ashton's Sovereign smooth finish, highlighting plenty of handsome grain in a blonde stain.
