English Estates: Dunhill Chestnut (5102) (1985) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-32829

Dunhill's iconic "02" bent Billiard showcases the English marque's ability to create sweeping shapes that maintain well-balanced proportions. This 1985 rendition is no different, with the pert, upright bowl paired to a high-kicking shank and an arcing tapered stem. The elegant curvature of this piece renders a rather fluid profile, one that draws the eyes from rim to bit. The stummel wears the Chestnut smooth finish, which brilliantly accentuates the the flame grain and birdseye about the bowl.

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
