English Estates: Dunhill Root Briar Pot (0416) (1976) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-33123

As part of The White Spot's superlative Root Briar line, this Pot doesn't bear a designated shape number, which would otherwise be Dunhill's "06" design. Regarding form, it's a more slender take on the Pot: the shank and stem being considerably svelte and the bowl increased in breadth and stoutness. Such broad walls showcase stunning grain, with birdseye peppering the flanks of the bowl while cross grain striates the rim and underside. Despite the often muscular nature of the Pot, this piece maintains an elegant balance throughout, something which additionally affords it a wonderfully light weight, allowing for easy clenching.

The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
