GBD presents a classically inclined vintage Dublin here, with the form's subtle flare to the rim and forward cant well-represented and offering a lively stance in hand. Its bowl rests upon a firm, pronounced heel, lending it a touch of extra substance, and its presence is magnified by its rather tall height. This is especially effective given the slender, sleekly tapering stretch of shank and stem to which the bowl is paired, the trailing length serving to balance some of the bowl's visual weight. Despite being nearly six inches long, this pipe maintains a wonderfully light weight which should allow for easy clenching and relative ease of portability. Dressed in a warm auburn stain, the stummel here showcases a wealth of lovely grain around the flanks of the bowl, with pinpricks of birdseye densely peppering the briar.
