English Estates: Unknown Supreme Grain Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-33468
The nomenclature is that of Charatan's Supreme line, but it's missing the rest of the "Charatan" stampings so this piece is listed as being from an unknown maker. The grain is wonderful, the shaping excellent, with the cheeking of the bowl running down along the heel to accommodate the extension of the shank to the heel. That shank and stem are squared, but with gentle curves to soften the geometry. It's certainly a distinctive pipe, and it's quite handsomely dressed in a warm, traditional smooth finish.
