The epitome of a comfort pipe, this bent Dublin from Charatan fills the hand with substance and offers a tobacco chamber on par with some of Italy's most robust briars. Muscular and comprised of thick, insulating walls, the bowl here rises at the fore of a high-kicking shank-and-stem arrangement, one whose posture lends a check mark-like angularity to the shape's overall profile. An earthy sandblast dresses the stummel and unveils some rippling grain around the bowl while providing a wealth of tactile detail for the fingers to explore.
