English Estates: James Upshall Empire Series Tradition Bent Billiard Sitter (P) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-33868
Since its founding in 1978, James Upshall has earned a reputation for brawny, atypical renditions of traditional English pipes. This well-bent Billiard features a length, thick shank that rises out of a low-set transition and joins to a robust vulcanite stem, giving the shank-and-stem combination some serious muscularity. The bowl is reminiscent of the Volcano shape, but lacks an even, rounded ridgeling, opting instead for crisp, freehand flutes, which offer a tactile surface on the auburn smooth finish. The flanks showcase fetching vertical gain and visible growth rings, which rise to a rim surrounding a spacious chamber.
