English Estates: Dunhill Chestnut (42061) (1982) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-33602

Lovers of classic English shapes and Dunhill in particular will adore this "06" Pot. It's a spot on interpretation, featuring a broad tobacco chamber that's supported by the stout chamber walls. Carved in Group 4 proportions, it's a muscular rendition, but the profile remains sleek and streamlined through the shank and stem, with the stem's saddle orientation making it a rather rare piece and enhancing the sleekness of the aft end. This piece was fashioned back in 1982 and is dressed in the warm, rich stain of the marque's Chestnut finish, paired here to a matching cumberland stem. This pipe is additionally quite the curiosity, as the Chestnut finish was introduced in 1983, making this 1982 pipe a standout

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
