Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This Pot by Ashton features their iconic Brindle sandblast, which brings out the tactile bridseye and vertical growth rings, and paints their peaks with red hues. The roomy bowl earns the "XXX" size stamped on this pipe, as the wide and deep Pot holds an ample amount of tobacco. The big bowl is offset by a short, acrylic saddle stem, incorporated with an organic, amber-like color that is partially transparent.
