English Estates: Charatan's Make Special Apple (Extra Large) Tobacco Pipe

One of the oldest English marques, Charatan played a significant role in the origins of the English pipe making tradition, centered around simple, lightweight pipe stylings. However, many of Charatan's designs incorporate dynamic shaping, altering established English pipe archetypes. From the front, this Apple by Charatan seems to be a typical Anglo-French pipe, but in profile one notices the whimsical Charatan additions. The shank meets the bowl at a sinuous ridgeline that weaves its way to the bottom of the pipe where it forms a spear-like shape, whose point is affixed to the center of the bowl. Finally, the dramatic shank is paired with a Charatan signature, their Double Comfort saddle stem.
