English Estates: Ashton Pebble Grain Lovat with Silver (ELX) (2022) Tobacco Pipe

Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This Lovat from Ashton is stamped with "ELX," indicating it is of exceptional size. Tthe bowl is quite sizeable, and the shank-stem combination follows suit with robust proportions and the Lovat's characteristically protracted shank. The pipe is dressed in Ashton's exemplary Pebble Grain sandblast, which is accented with a thick, silver band fitted to the end of the shank.
