English Estates: Ashton Sovereign Rhodesian with Silver (XXX) (2019) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-33823
Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This bent Rhodesian by Ashton barely avoids Nosewarmer status, but despite its miniature length it exudes muscularity. Two beadlines wrap around the bowl's upper dome, drawing attention to the broad waistline. A honey-colored smooth finish frames a fascinating grain pattern, with vertical grain on the left flank and birdseye on the right, which are accented by a tasteful silver band.
