One of the oldest English marques, Charatan played a significant role in the origins of the English pipe making tradition, centered around simple, lightweight pipe stylings. However, many of Charatan's designs incorporate dynamic shaping, altering established English pipe archetypes. This hearty Billiard by Charatan is a sizeable rendition of the shape, otherwise, it adheres closely to traditional British proportions, as a colossal bowl is paired with an equally considerable rounded shank. A bit of Charatan's whimsical personality does shine through, evidenced by a symmetrically chamfered rim and their signature Double Comfort saddle stem.
