English Estates: Charatan's Make Free Hand Relief Bent Dublin Sitter (XL) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-33799
A historic English marque founded in 1868, Charatan were highly respected for their high-quality work in classic English style, with a penchant for more whimsical stylings in certain pieces. This bent Dublin Sitter, rendered in palm-filling XL proportions, is a fine example of the English marque's whimsy. The design features a trumpeting bowl that rests on a flattened heel with a rearward spur, displaying a dynamic forward cant. Out back, a near-vertical paneled shank joins a bent vulcanite saddle stem, promoting a comfortable smoking posture. Dressed in a rugged mahogany sandblast, the stummel displays finely textured growth rings all around the bowl.
