English Estates: Charatan's Make Special Lumberman (4402DC) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-33806
One of the oldest English marques, Charatan played a significant role in the origins of the English pipe making tradition, centered around simple, lightweight pipe stylings. However, many of Charatan's designs incorporate dynamic shaping, altering established English pipe archetypes. This Lumberman by Charatan displays one of the marque's more conservative stylings; whereas many Charatan's one can identify at a glance, this Charatan is identifiable only by the Double Comfort saddle stem and the Charatan stamp. However, Charatan's traditional composition places greater emphasis on the natural briar grain that contains a stunning swath of birdseye stretching from the end of the oval shank to the rim, which is dressed in an auburn, smooth finish.
