This is an intriguing Billiard from English workshop Ashton, presenting with a strikingly stylized bowl that at once looks like a fusion of its namesake, the Pot, and the Rhodesian. Said bowl features a broad, thick build which builds its walls cylindrically from a firm heel, its high-set waistline punctuated by a firm ridgeline before tapering to the rim. A wide transition gives way to a comparatively slender shank that tapers gently as it reaches toward a lengthier stem which accelerates that taper. The composition is quite muscular overall, with an air of sturdiness about it that the stummel's inky sandblast compliments, its handsome grain and dark stain courtesy of the Pebble Grain sandblast.
