The clean, sleek lines of the Lovat shape have made it a timeless classic for decades, and here Ashton presents a traditional, English-style take on the form. The lines are arrow straight through the elongated shank, with the abbreviated saddle stem placing the visual focus on the stummel, especially the tall, deep-chambered bowl up front. For some added heft, though, the shank is a touch more substantial, keeping the proportions bold and consistent throughout the composition. Such stylized shaping pairs quite handsomely here with the crisp, sandblasted texture of the Pebble Grain finish.
