English Estates: Dunhill Chestnut (4407) (2016) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-33993

One of Dunhill's most iconic shapes, their "07" Prince is presented here in Group 4 size. The low-slung, supple bowl feels delightful in hand and it is dressed in the dark stain of Dunhill's Chestnut finish. Out back, the trim shank features a cumberland military mount, allowing the pipe to be broken down while hot. The military mount joins to a stem of the same material, which pushes outwards from the joinery before tapering back to a trim bit, creating the Prince shape's demure curvature while the thick stem balances the composition.

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
