English Estates: Dunhill Chestnut (3103) (2001) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-34337

This Billiard from Dunhill is exemplary of the craftsmanship that made the English marque's pipes famous the world over. Rendered in thoroughly English style, the balanced proportions and subtly muscular shaping on display make this an archetypal example of what a Billiard should be. The round shank transitions smoothly to a tapered stem in Dunhill's timeless cumberland vulcanite, for a sharp yet rugged look. The pipe is solid but quite light, well suited to many smoking postures. The stummel is richly dressed in the deep walnut-hued Chestnut stain that softly undulates in color, revealing excellent grain. This piece is a testament to Dunhill's impeccable style and timeless quality and will certainly elevate any smoker's collection.

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
