Dated to 1961, this Billiard is a piece of Dunhill history. Furthermore, this piece earned Dunhill's esteemed "DR" (Dead Root) stamp, further enhancing its collectability. Dating to before Dunhill standardized their four-digit shape code, this pipe closely resembles Dunhill's iconic "03" and features dimensions congruent to Group 4 size. Additionally, this classic Billiard is dressed in Dunhill's Root Briar finish.
The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes.
