English Estates: Charatan's Make Belvedere Bulldog (321 D.C.) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-35114

One of the oldest English marques, Charatan played a significant role in the origins of the English pipe making tradition, centered around simple, lightweight pipe stylings. However, many of Charatan's designs incorporate dynamic shaping, altering established English pipe archetypes. This Bulldog by Charatan features a pert bowl that showcases a flare and taper in equal measure, as the walls bulge outward at a mid-set waistline that is adorned with dual beadlines. Out back, the elongated diamond shank and lengthy Double Comfort saddle stem slightly soften the traditionally muscular stature of the Bulldog shape, lending this piece a lean character. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a chestnut smooth finish, highlighting a swath of tightly-packed birdseye on the bowl's right flank.
