English Estates: James Upshall Smooth Bent Bulldog (A) (FH) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-35229
Since its founding in 1978, James Upshall has earned a reputation for brawny, atypical renditions of traditional English pipes. However, this bent Bulldog by James Upshall adheres closely to classic Anglo-French archetypes. The muscular bowl possesses shapely walls that bulge at a high-set waistline, which features dual beadlines for a tactile accent. Out back, the structural, diamond shank bends upward from the sweeping transition and ascends to a sleek saddle stem, manifesting a crisp, traditional profile. Furthermore, the stem is fashioned from jet-black vulcanite, which elegantly complements the chestnut smooth finish on the stummel, highlighting striking vertical grain on the bowl and tightly-packed whorls of birdseye on the rim.
