English Estates: Orlik De Luxe Smooth Billiard (L17) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-35376
Originally popular for their pipe tobacco products, Orlik was founded in 1899 by Louis L. Orlik. The company eventually became known for producing high-quality briar pipes for reasonable prices. It wasn't until almost 100 years later in 1980 when the Cadogan group bought Orlik and moved production to a factory in Southend-on-Sea where their pipes are still made today.
A lightweight and petite version of the classic design, this "L17" Billiard from Orlik offers versatility and consistency to the smoker. At just over five inches in length, this pipe is compact and can easily be taken on the go or enjoyed at home. The stout cylindrical bowl cants forward just slightly, rising from a firm but small heel to meet a flat rim that possesses a modest curve while dipping down to the chamber. From the transition, the slim shank-and-stem combination begins its gradual taper toward the bit, the vulcanite stem's black complexion complementing the stummel's stain.
