English Estates: Dunhill Root Briar (413) (1976) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-35305

Dated to 1976, this vintage "13" Billiard from Dunhill is rendered in Group 4 size, possessing a well-measured figure that illustrates the English marque's refined, traditional shaping cues. The bowl stands pert and upright, its walls traveling from a subtly rounded heel toward a flat rim. A muscular, proportionally balanced shank transitions from the bowl and pairs to a tapering stem of jet-black vulcanite. Dunhill's illustrious Root Briar finish dresses the stummel, complete with a warm chestnut stain highlighting lovely birdseye across the bowl's left flank.

The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
