English Estates: Dunhill Collector Smooth Bent Dublin (1986) (Aftermarket Band) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-35507
While famous for their traditional shaping standards, Dunhill's Collector series showcases the English marque in rare form, with the line consisting of more experimental hand-turned shapes. Dated to 1986, this bent Dublin from Dunhill features a bowl-centric figure, a trait more commonly seen in Italian pipe-making. The bowl stands tall at a forward cant, its thick walls flaring high from a flattened heel toward a craggy, plateaued rim. An upturned shank transitions from the bowl, punctuated with a stylish metal accent band, and it meets a smartly bent saddle stem of jet-black vulcanite. The stummel wears a warm hazelnut stain highlighting striking vertical grain across the left flank.
Note: This pipe has been fitted with an aftermarket band that repairs a crack in the shank, and the price has been adjusted accordingly.
