English Estates: Charatan's Make Executive Bent Panel (City of London) (Extra Large) Tobacco Pipe

Founded in 1863 by Frederik Charatan, Charatan is a historic English marque with a long legacy, being not only one of the first pipe makers in England, but also the first English brand to hand-make their briar pipes from start to finish. This bent Panel is one of Charatan's unique Freehand designs, offering shaping cues that diverge from Anglo-French norms. Such shaping is most evident at the bowl, which is framed by six crisp facets. These facets produce an outline that's compact in profile but resembles a Reuleaux triangle when viewed from above. Out back, a high-kicking shank continues the geometric motif and tapers upward before joining a demurely curved saddle stem. This stem features Charatan's renowned Double Comfort bit and promotes a comfortable smoking posture. A warm smooth finish completes this ensemble and highlights healthy grain throughout the stummel.
